Activities about Jean Batten

This a a blog post all about Jean Batten. We have been learning about her in class and how she was the first women to fly from England to New Zealand. She broke many world records on her travels. Have a look down below to find out even more, and have a look at some of the stuff I have made for this Project.

ACTIVITY:

Research

You must be at least 18 years old to become a pilot. You have to hold a current private pilot license. You must also have a minimum of 200 hours of flight time or experience. You must study/train at the Christchurch aviation centre, or I believe you can at Massey University in Palmerston North, with a 3 year degree. You must also pass the Class 1 Medical Exam. All this can take up to 3 years.

ACTIVITY:

Buddy the Cat

Buddy the cat was Jean Battens cat. She would take her in the plane with her, as a fluffy mascot. She was a black cat.
